SyncGuard is a Shopify app that checks whether every Shopify order has a
matching record in your accounting system, and emails you when one is missing.
How it works
It reads your Shopify orders through the Shopify Admin API. From each order
it takes only four fields: the order number, the date the order was created,
the total amount, and the currency.
It deliberately requests no customer names, email addresses, phone numbers,
or addresses.
It reads invoices and sales receipts from the accounting system you connect.
It compares the Shopify orders against those invoices and sales receipts.
It emails you when a Shopify order has no matching accounting record.
What it does not do
It never writes to your accounting system. It only reads.
It does not request or store customer contact details or addresses.
Data retention
SyncGuard stores only what is needed to perform the comparison, and deletes
anything older than 90 days.
